To the north we go to Benidorm, Altea, Calpe, Jávea and Dénia, and to the south to Santa Pola and Torrevieja. What to know on arrival in Alicante
Arrivals on floor P0, check-in on P2. At Alicante airport the arrivals hall is on the lower floor, P0, and the check-in desks are on floor P2. Luggage comes out on 14 belts, the belt number for your flight is shown on the screens, and there are two more belts for oversized luggage. If your suitcase has not arrived or has been damaged, go to the desk of your airline or its handling agent.
There is no train or tram at the airport. Only buses leave Alicante airport, and all lines, city and intercity, depart from one stop on the road to the departures area. ALSA buses stand at the outer bays opposite the check-in desks, so from the arrivals hall you will have to take your suitcases up to floor P2.
No toll roads to Elche and Santa Pola. There are no toll sections on the road to Elche and Santa Pola. On the tolled AP-7 between Alicante and Cartagena, the toll points are at Los Montesinos and La Zenia. Toll roads are not included in the transfer price: if the route takes a toll section, you pay the driver back for the toll on the spot, against the receipt. You and the driver decide together which road to take.
Four new Ryanair routes this winter. On 21 October 2026 Ryanair announced its winter schedule for Alicante: 79 routes and 15 aircraft based at the airport. New this winter are flights to Catania, Venice, Friedrichshafen and Saarbrücken. On a further 28 routes, including Lisbon and Rome, the airline has added flights.

A transfer from Alicante airport to Benidorm costs from €91 per car: that is 63 km and ~48 min on the road. The ALSA bus goes non-stop from the airport to Benidorm bus station in 45 minutes, with tickets from €7.99. From the bus station you have to make your own way to the hotel, while the transfer driver takes you straight to your address.
Can I get from Alicante airport to Elche?
Yes, the driver takes you from Alicante airport to your address in Elche: that is 15 km and ~23 min on the road, and the price is from €33 per car. Avanza's R11 city bus takes about 25 minutes from the airport to the Universidad terminus, but on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays it runs only about every 75 minutes.
Can I go straight from Alicante airport to Dénia?
Yes, Dénia is 108 km away, the drive takes ~1 hr 15 min, and the price is from €145 per car. The ALSA bus goes from the airport to Dénia with no change: five services on weekdays between 09:00 and 16:00, taking from 1 h 30 min to 1 h 55 min, with tickets from €15.42. If your plane lands on a weekday after 16:00, there is no direct bus left, while the transfer driver comes for your flight.
How long does the driver wait for free at Alicante airport?
