Two parks all year and a water park in summer. In the main park are Dragon Khan with its eight loops and Shambhala, the most famous coasters in Spain. Ferrari Land has Red Force: 112 metres high, accelerating to 180 kilometres an hour. The Caribe water park is open roughly from late May to September.
The hotels stand right at the entrance. On rates with tickets, entry to PortAventura Park is open on every day of your stay, including arrival and departure days, plus one day at Ferrari Land per person. Many families take a couple of nights so as not to shuttle to the park and back.
Salou seven minutes away. Accommodation in town is usually cheaper than on the resort site, and Bus Plana runs to the park. From Reus airport to Salou is 13 km and ~21 min.
The park opens at ten. By midday the queues for the main coasters grow, and on Red Force and Shambhala they reach an hour by evening. At opening there are almost no queues.
Tarragona is close. A Roman amphitheatre above the sea and an old town on the hill - 10 km and ~16 min from Reus airport.
