What you'll find in Peniscola
A castle on a rock in the sea. The old town climbs a headland connected to the mainland by a narrow strip of sand, with the Templar castle at the top. Pope Benedict XIII lived here in the fifteenth century.
The walls and the lanes below them have appeared in films and series often enough that visitors recognise the place before they arrive.
The north beach runs for several kilometres and is shallow and calm. The Sierra de Irta natural park starts just south of the town, with a coastline that has stayed undeveloped.

Is there a train to Peniscola?
Not directly. The nearest station is Benicarlo-Peniscola, several kilometres from the old town, and you still need onward transport.
How long is the drive from Reus?
Around an hour and a half on the AP-7, longer in peak summer traffic.
Can you drop us in the old town?
Access inside the walls is restricted, so we stop at the closest permitted point, which is a short walk from most hotels there.
Is there room for luggage and strollers?
Yes, for bulky luggage we assign a car of a suitable class.
When do you charge?
Nothing is charged upfront. The amount is held on your card at booking and charged only when the ride is completed.
Can I cancel?
A scheduled transfer can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before pickup. After that a cancellation fee applies.
