Before you land in Girona
One terminal on two floors. At Girona airport the check-in desks are on the lower floor and the departure gates on the upper floor. After landing, luggage comes out on one of five belts. If your suitcase has not arrived, the lost luggage desks are on the lower floor in the check-in area; for Ryanair, it is Azul Handling.
Tolls only on the way to France. Toll roads are not included in the transfer price: if the route uses a toll section, you pay the driver back on the spot, against the receipt. Within Catalonia, the roads from the airport are currently toll-free. The AP-7 from La Jonquera to Tarragona has been free since 1 September 2021, as have the C-32 from Montgat to Palafolls and the C-33 from Barcelona to Montmeló. On the way to Perpignan you will take the A9 motorway, which in France is a toll road right up to the Spanish border. You and the driver decide together which road to take.
Fewer flights in winter than in summer. The 2026 summer season at Girona airport began on 29 March and lasted seven months: airlines flew from here to 49 cities in 14 countries. According to Aena, as of 3 November 2026 only Ryanair flies from Girona in winter, to 9 destinations, including London Stansted, Manchester and Brussels Charleroi. The airport itself is open around the clock.

Blanes is 31 km away, the drive takes ~30 min, and the price is from €52. There is no train to Tossa, and the direct Sagalés 605 bus from the airport to Blanes is not running at the moment, so with luggage a transfer is the easier option.
