What awaits you in Platja d'Aro
Two kilometres of sand and shops a few steps away. The beach runs the length of the town, and parallel to it goes the Avinguda de s'Agaró - the main shopping street of the coast, with more than two hundred shops. Of the resorts in this part of the Costa Brava, Platja d'Aro is the liveliest.
The marina in neighbouring Port d'Aro. Yacht berths, restaurants by the water and pleasure boats along the coast. Ten minutes on foot from the beach.
Neighbouring Sant Feliu de Guíxols is quieter. An old fishing town with a monastery and a seafront, a few kilometres to the south. A good place for a quiet evening when you want a change of scene.
Small coves to the north. Beyond the headland begin Cala Rovira and Sa Conca - calmer water, fewer people. Easy to reach by car or on foot along the coastal path.
About the road. From Girona airport 32 km, ~34 min. Begur is to the north: 57 km and ~51 min. Tossa to the south: 35 km and ~40 min.
