What awaits you in Lloret de Mar
The main beach and more than ten coves. Platja de Lloret runs for about a kilometre along the promenade, but the small coves between the rocks are more remarkable: Sa Caleta with a castle on the cliff, Fenals and Canyelles, and you can reach them on foot.
The Camí de Ronda - a path over the rocks along the water. It runs from cove to cove along the whole coast. To Tossa it is about five hours' walk, but you need not do the whole of it: people usually take one stretch and come back.
In July and in September these are different towns. At the height of summer Lloret is a noisy resort with bars open till morning. By September there are noticeably fewer people, and the water stays warm, around twenty-three degrees - almost like August. In winter much is closed.
The Santa Clotilde gardens above the sea. A park in Italian Renaissance style on a cliff, with staircases and a view of the water. One of the few calm places at the height of the season.
Tossa and Blanes are close, and noticeably quieter. To Tossa from Girona airport is 35 km and ~41 min.
