Barcelona's cruise port is the largest in Europe, and its terminals stretch along the Moll Adossat quay for several kilometres. From the airport to the port is 17 km, the drive takes ~24 min.
The driver contacts you after landing, helps with the luggage and drives up to your terminal building, not to the port gate. Name the ship or the terminal letter when you book: the berths stretch for several kilometres, and nobody walks between them.

What awaits you at the cruise port
The terminals are far apart. The big liners moor at Moll Adossat: terminals A, B, C, D and Palacruceros. Smaller ships are handled by the World Trade Center, closer to the city. Between the far ends of the port there are several kilometres; you cannot walk it.
Cars do not go right up to the gangway. At Moll Adossat they are let in to drop off or collect passengers with luggage, but parking is forbidden: the port police keep watch. The driver stops at the terminal building, and from there the cruise line staff take you to the ship.
Waiting counts from the ship's arrival. Sixty minutes free, and we count them from the minute the liner ties up. A late ship does not affect you.
Three and a half kilometres to the centre. Fifteen minutes' drive to the Rambla and the Gothic Quarter. It is a bit far to walk, and with suitcases the walk is exhausting.
The stop in Barcelona can be short. Many cruises are in port from 7 in the morning until 6 in the evening. In that time you can realistically do the centre and the Sagrada Família, but no more - plan the route in advance.

Can I walk between the port terminals?
No. Moll Adossat is a closed port zone guarded by the port police, with no pedestrian route between the berths. That is why it is worth naming the terminal precisely when you book.
Will you take me back from the port to the airport after the cruise?
Yes, the return route works the same way: 18 km and ~21 min. The price is calculated separately, on that route's page. The driver meets you at the exit of the terminal building and helps with the luggage.
What if disembarkation from the liner is delayed?
At cruise ports the free waiting counts from the ship's arrival, not from the pick-up time. Liners unload in waves, so there is a time margin built in.
Can we see Barcelona between the flight and boarding the liner?
Yes, if you have a few hours: from the port to the start of the Rambla is about three and a half kilometres, and the Gothic Quarter and Barceloneta are nearby. From the airport to the centre is 14 km and ~26 min - you can stop on the way with hourly hire.
