Straight to the fortress
Tossa de Mar is 86 km from Barcelona: the medieval fortress of the Vila Vella right above the beach, the only one surviving on the whole Catalan coast. The drive takes ~1 hr 28 min.
The bus leaves Estació del Nord with stops and drops you at the bus station away from the beach, and the last stretch runs along hairpins above the cliffs. A direct transfer takes you from your address to the hotel, bypassing the bus stations. The driver collects you at your door and drives straight to the address.

What awaits you in Tossa de Mar
A twelfth-century fortress right on the shore. The Vila Vella is the only surviving fortified medieval village on the whole Catalan coast. The walls and towers stand on the rock above the sea, entry is free, and inside are narrow lanes and viewpoints.
A beach in the horseshoe of the bay. The main Platja Gran lies between the fortress and the headland, the water is calm. Nearby are the small coves of Codolar and Mar Menuda, five to ten minutes on foot.
Quieter than the neighbours. Tossa deliberately stayed without nightclubs and high-rises. People come here for a calm holiday: families, couples, those who find Lloret too loud.
The GI-682 hairpin road. The stretch from Lloret runs over the cliffs above the sea, 23 minutes and a dozen scenic bends. Many come for the road itself.
About the road. From Barcelona 86 km, ~1 hr 28 min. From Girona airport it is noticeably closer: 35 km and ~41 min.

Yes. The streets inside the fortress are narrow - we get to the nearest point and help with the luggage.
Is the price per car or per person?
Per car. Van takes up to 7 passengers, and the fare does not depend on how many of you there are.
Can I stop in Lloret or Blanes?
Yes, they are nearby along the coast. For a trip with stops a car for several hours works out better.
How long does the driver wait for free?
15 minutes from the pick-up time, after that waiting is charged. If you are running late, message support: any waiting beyond that is paid.
