Transfer Barcelona - Valencia

To Valencia door to door

From Barcelona to Valencia is 348 km and ~3 hr 40 min on the AP-7. The road follows the coast through Tarragona, Peñíscola and Castellón.

The AVE train is usually faster - about 2 hours 40 minutes. A transfer makes sense in other cases: when you travel as a group with luggage and four tickets already cost about the same; when you need to leave at night or very early; when you want to stop in Peñíscola or Tarragona on the way; when you have children, a pet or bulky items with you. The driver collects you at your door and drives straight to the address.

Comfort - up to three people with standard luggage. Van - the choice for families and groups: seven seats, and the boot takes a pushchair, skis or a snowboard alongside the suitcases. Premium - business trips and meeting guests: a higher-class car, up to three passengers.

What awaits you in Valencia

A river turned into a park. After the flood of 1957 the Turia was diverted around the city, and a nine-kilometre park was laid out in its bed right through the centre. People run there, cycle and lie on the grass.

The City of Arts and Sciences at the end of the park. Calatrava's complex: an oceanarium, a planetarium, a science museum. The buildings look like the skeletons of giant creatures, and you can look at them from outside for free.

Paella comes from here. The real Valencian one is with rabbit and chicken, no seafood. It is eaten at lunch, not in the evening, and in decent places it takes at least twenty minutes to cook to order.

The old town is walkable. The cathedral, the UNESCO-protected Silk Exchange, the Art Nouveau Mercat Central. All within half an hour's walk.

A beach within the city. Malvarrosa is a wide sandy beach with a promenade, twenty minutes from the centre.

About the road. From Barcelona 348 km, ~3 hr 40 min on the AP-7. The road runs along the sea, with a stop on the way by arrangement.
