191 km to the north, ~2 hr 42 min. The last stretch climbs the Envalira pass, above two thousand four hundred metres.
Andorra has neither a railway nor an airport, so the options are few. The scheduled bus goes to Andorra la Vella, and from there to Pas de la Casa you need another local service over the same pass. The driver collects you at your door in Barcelona and takes you straight to your hotel by the slopes.

Pas de la Casa: what kind of place it is
The village stands higher than anywhere else in Andorra, right on the French border. Because of the altitude the snow holds longer than in the other sectors of Grandvalira, and the season is longer.
Skiing starts at the doorstep: the lifts go straight up from the village, there is no need to walk anywhere with skis. From here you also reach the Grau Roig sector and the rest of the ski area.
The village grew up around duty-free trade: shops, restaurants and bars stand shoulder to shoulder along the main street. Architecture is not the point here; the point is snow and the lifts next door.
What to bear in mind in winter
The Envalira pass closes in heavy snowfall. Then we go through the Envalira toll tunnel - it is shorter than the pass, but the toll is paid separately.
Mention the skis when you book. Ski sets plus suitcases means a minivan, not a saloon car.
A passport is compulsory. Andorra is not in the EU; documents are checked on the way in and out.
Allow extra time on the way back. The customs queue at weekends can be long, especially for those carrying purchases.
