Music Festivals in Barcelona: Getting There and Getting Home
Barcelona runs on live music from May to September. Primavera Sound fills Parc del Fòrum, Sónar splits between Fira Montjuïc by day and Fira Gran Via in L'Hospitalet by night, and Cruïlla takes over the Fòrum in July. Tens of thousands of people arrive and leave at the same hour, which is exactly where the evening goes wrong.

Arrivals: the drop-off zone matters more than the address
Festival sites close the roads around them. Typing the venue name into a ride app gets you to a cordon, then a twenty-minute walk you did not plan for, in the heat, with a queue at the end of it.
A pre-booked driver knows the perimeter drop-off points. For Parc del Fòrum that means the Diagonal Mar side rather than the seafront; for Fira Gran Via, the Europa Fira access rather than the main avenue. You step out a short walk from the gates with time to clear security, collect wristbands, and find a spot before the afternoon sets.
From central Barcelona to Parc del Fòrum: about 16 minutes, from 55 EUR per car. To Fira Gran Via: about 15 minutes, from 45 EUR. Coming in on a flight the same day? The airport to Barcelona city centre transfer runs from 64 EUR, and the driver tracks your flight number.

Departures: this is the part people underestimate
Primavera Sound closes around 5 am. Sónar Night runs to 7. When fifty thousand people leave a single site at once, the metro is at capacity, ride apps surge, and the wait for a car runs past an hour. After fourteen hours on your feet, that hour is brutal.
A booked pickup means the car is already at your meeting point, away from the crush at the gates. For a group, the Van keeps everyone together for up to 7 people, so nobody is left waiting for a second car at four in the morning.
Recurring pickups for each night of the festival can be set in advance, so a three-day weekend is arranged in one sitting.

Frequently asked questions
Will the driver meet me at the festival exit gates? Not at the gates themselves, because roads there are closed during the event. The meeting point is a 3 to 5 minute walk from the exit, agreed in advance and shown in the app.
Can I book pickups for several nights at once? Yes. Set a recurring pickup for each night of the festival, so the whole weekend is confirmed before it starts.
What happens if the set runs late? Tell support and the pickup moves. A scheduled ride can also be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before.
How many people fit in one car? Comfort takes up to 4 passengers, the Van up to 7. For a larger group, book two cars to the same meeting point.
Is a night ride more expensive? No. The price is fixed when you book and does not change for the hour, the traffic, or festival demand.
When am I charged? When the ride starts. For an advance booking the amount is held on your card and charged at the same moment, so nothing is paid upfront.
Hiring a car for the whole weekend
If the festival is spread across venues, or you want the same driver on standby between the hotel, the beach, and the site, chauffeur hire by the hour is the simpler option. Minimum three hours, and the driver waits while you do everything else.
Flying home the morning after? Book the transfer from Barcelona to the airport from 60 EUR at the same time, and the last thing on your mind after the festival is arranging a car.
Set it up in the Let's GO app: vehicle size, late-night pickup time, driver confirmed in seconds.
