Where Your Driver Meets You at Barcelona Airport
The plane has landed, your bags are collected, you walk out into the hall - and hit a wall of people holding name signs. In 2025 El Prat handled 57.5 million passengers against a design capacity of 55 million, so the crowd here isn't a rush-hour thing, it's near-permanent.
You don't have to find anyone in that crowd. Your driver messages you first and names the spot where the car is waiting. Here's how it works step by step, and what to do if the plane lands at the other terminal.
First, Check Your Boarding Pass
El Prat has two terminals, four kilometres apart. The shuttle is free, but that's still up to 15 minutes on the road plus the wait. Turning up at the wrong one wastes time for nothing, and you can rule it out in advance: the letter is on your boarding pass.

What Happens While You Wait for Your Bags
Your driver watches the flight number, not the time on the booking. The clock starts for them the moment the wheels touch the runway.
Here is the order of things:
Before departure, the app shows the driver's name, the car model and its plate.
After landing, a message arrives with the exact meeting point. Cars with a VTC licence (the permit for pre-booked rides) park in the airport car park. The driver tells you which exit to head for and which level to go down to. Follow that exactly - a terminal has several exits, leading to different sides.
If you would rather be met inside, that's the Meet & Greet option: the driver stands in the arrivals hall with a sign showing your name. The option costs €10.
The Gate Changed While You Were in the Air
It happens: weather, a delay on the previous rotation, sometimes no reason at all. Occasionally the plane lands at the other terminal altogether.
For your driver, none of that matters. The flight number shows where the plane came in, and they bring the car to the right terminal. No call needed, no surcharge.
There's one case that does call for a message: if your flight gets diverted to another airport, Girona or Reus. Tell support as soon as you know. We rebuild the booking around the new airport and recalculate the price by distance.
One Hour of Free Waiting
The clock runs from the actual landing, not from the schedule. An hour covers the usual chain with room to spare: taxiing, the walk through the terminal, passport control, the baggage belt. On a flight within Schengen, where you skip passport control, Barcelona takes 25-40 minutes. On a flight from outside Schengen, with a queue at the border, it can take up to an hour.
If the hour runs out and you are still inside, message your driver in the app. The driver is not going anywhere and waits for you.
Four Ways to Save Time
Put the flight number in the booking. Without it there's no tracking, and your driver only knows the time you typed in by hand.
Turn off flight mode before the baggage belt. The message with the meeting point lands exactly while you're waiting for your suitcases.
Read the message before you leave the building. Walk out at random and you'll come back the same way, which is slow with suitcases.
Message rather than call. The hall is noisy, and a message gets through faster than a call.
