AI Summit Barcelona 2026: How to Get to the Venue
AI Summit Barcelona took place on 22 and 23 September 2026 at the World Trade Center, on the Moll de Barcelona pier next to Port Vell. The summit gathers more than 10,000 participants, and the programme runs for just two days: arriving fifteen minutes late costs you a whole talk.
The venue sits out on a pier, away from the city streets: neither the metro nor the Aerobús reaches it.
From the airport to the venue
Barcelona Airport is 15 km from the World Trade Center. A direct transfer takes ~21 min outside rush hour and costs from €33 per car, and the price is fixed when you book.

Getting to the pier by public transport is awkward. Metro line L9 doesn't run from the airport into the centre directly, and the closest station to the venue is Drassanes on L3, a fifteen-minute walk from the pier. The Aerobús takes you to Plaça de Catalunya, about three kilometres from the venue.
If you land on the morning of the 22nd, book a transfer straight to the venue. Your driver gets in touch once you're on the ground, tells you where to meet and goes by the actual arrival time. The first hour of waiting at the airport is free.

Demo stands, banners and camera kit don't fit into a sedan along with the team. A Van takes up to seven people with their luggage. The Van costs more than the Business, and you see the price before you book.

Events run all over the city around the summit: meetings at Pier01 by Port Vell, offices in the 22@ district (the tech quarter in Poblenou), dinners in the Gothic Quarter. In a single day you cross Barcelona several times, between the summit hall, daytime meetings and the evening venue.
