Barcelona to Lloret de Mar: Bus, Train or Transfer
Lloret de Mar is one of the busiest resorts on the Costa Brava: three kilometres of beach, rocky coves and pine trees that run right down to the water. The town sits 89 km from El Prat airport, and the drive takes ~1 hr 15 min. Here's every way of getting there, compared honestly.
Bus
Direct Moventis buses (line 2) to Lloret leave the Estació del Nord coach station: 16-17 departures a day in October, 5-6 from November, about 1 h on the road, and the ticket costs €12.70. Carrier fares as of October 2026. From the airport there's a direct service too - Moventis line 2, which runs from T2 and T1 through Barcelona to Lloret and Tossa. Departures are few and far between. If your landing time doesn't match the timetable, you end up going via Nord, and that whole trip with suitcases eats up two and a half to three hours.
It works if you're travelling light and in no particular hurry.
Train and bus
The R1 line runs along the coast as far as Blanes, and the ride there is a pretty one, but from Blanes you still need a bus into Lloret. All in, that comes to two or two and a half hours plus a change at Blanes with your bags in hand. From the airport it's longer still: first into the city station, then the train to Blanes, then the bus.
Car hire
With your own car you go where you like, when you like. That freedom has a price: parking in Lloret is hard to find in summer. Then there are the mountain bends to tackle straight after a flight, which not everyone fancies.

What to choose
On a budget and travelling light, take the bus from the coach station. If you're travelling with family, with suitcases or after a night flight, a transfer is easier. The bus comes out cheaper, but three hours of changes shrink to about half that, door to door, with nobody hauling bags.
