What to know about Reus Airport
Check-in and boarding on floor 0. Reus airport lies about 10 km east of Reus, and it has just one terminal. The check-in desks and boarding gates are on floor 0, the ground floor, so you will not have to take your suitcases up to another level.
In winter the terminal is open from 06:00 to midnight. Those are the hours Aena gives for the winter season, Monday to Sunday. In summer the terminal closes later, at 01:30. If you arrive for an early flight before six in the morning, the terminal will still be closed, so work out your pick-up time from its opening time.
Reus is busiest in summer. In 2025, 1,336,970 passengers passed through the airport, and most of that traffic comes from summer charter flights. If you are flying in winter, check the airport and departure time on your ticket before you book a transfer. Put your flight number in the booking: if the departure is moved, it will be easier for support to move your pick-up.
Town bus L50 leaves Reus bus station once an hour. The line is run by Reus Transport. The bus leaves from the Estació d'autobusos 2 stop at Reus bus station, where the Plana buses from Salou also arrive. The first bus leaves at about 07:39 and the last at about 20:44. The bus takes 10-15 minutes to reach the airport, and the fare is €4. The first bus gets to the airport at about 07:55 and the last at about 20:53, so it is no use for a flight before half past nine in the morning, and for a night departure you would have to go early and wait at the airport. On the way the bus also calls at the RENFE stop by Reus railway station, and some stops on the line are request stops. Before you can catch the L50, you also have to get from Salou to the bus station, a change you skip with a transfer.
From 1 November, Plana buses to Reus run to the winter timetable. It applies until 30 April. In Salou the buses leave from two stops: on Passeig de Jaume I by Salou bus station, and on the corner of C. Ciutat de Reus and C. Barcelona. Line 14 runs every day from 07:17 to 22:20 from the Passeig de Jaume I stop: roughly every half hour on weekdays, and once an hour at weekends and on public holidays. The e5 express leaves from C. Ciutat de Reus once an hour, from 07:02 to 20:52, and only on working days, Monday to Saturday. Both buses take about 18 minutes to reach the Av. de Salou, 2 stop by Reus bus station. So on Sundays and public holidays, line 14 is the only bus to the bus station. At weekends both line 14 and the L50 run once an hour, so the wait for your connection at the bus station can drag on.
A walk along the Camí de Ronda before your flight. The Camí de Ronda path runs along the Salou coast, and Ponent beach stretches for 1,115 m beside Passeig Miramar. According to the tourist office, Salou has 25 beaches and coves, and 9 of them have facilities for beachgoers. The drive to Reus airport is short, so even before a midday flight you will have time for a morning walk by the sea.
