Transfer Barcelona Airport - Tibidabo
Transfer to Tibidabo. Fixed price, no changes.

Straight to the top of Tibidabo
Tibidabo is the 512-metre mountain above Barcelona, with the Sacred Heart church and Spain's oldest amusement park on the summit: 20 km from the airport, the drive takes ~31 min.
Getting up on your own takes two changes: first the train to Avinguda Tibidabo, then bus 196 to Plaça Doctor Andreu, and from there the funicular. The historic blue tram that used to run this route has been closed for renovation since 2018. A direct transfer climbs the winding road right to the square by the church: the road is the driver's, the view over the city is yours.
Comfort - up to three people with standard luggage. Van - the choice for families and groups: seven seats, and the boot takes a pushchair, skis or a snowboard alongside the suitcases. Premium - business trips and meeting guests: a higher-class car, up to three passengers.

Where you'll arrive

What awaits you on Tibidabo
The Sacred Heart church is visible from all over the city. A neo-Gothic basilica on the summit, and above it a bronze figure of Christ with outstretched arms. A lift takes you up to the viewing terrace right beneath the statue.
Spain's oldest amusement park. It opened in 1901, and some of the rides survive from those days: the 1928 aeroplane circling over the drop, and the mirror maze. The park is not open all year, so check the schedule in advance.
All of Barcelona in one view. From the terrace you see the city down to the sea, the Sagrada Família and, on a clear day, Montserrat on the horizon.
The Fabra observatory. One of the oldest working observatories in the world, opened in 1904. In summer it runs evening programmes with dinner on the terrace and stargazing through the historic telescope.
It is cooler at the top. A few degrees less than the city, and in the evening it is windy on the summit - a jacket is useful even in summer.
About the road. From Barcelona airport 20 km, ~31 min. From the airport to the city centre 14 km and ~26 min.
