Your last day at Grandvalira
The 2026-27 season opens on 4 December. The resort plans to welcome skiers from 4 December 2026 to 4 April 2027, but both dates depend on the weather. The slopes are open from 9:00 to 17:00, so on the day you leave you can ski in the morning and set off for the airport after lunch.
215 km of slopes in seven sectors. According to the resort, Grandvalira is the largest ski area in the Pyrenees: it has 215 km of slopes across the Encamp, Canillo, El Tarter, Soldeu, Peretol, Grau Roig and Pas de la Casa sectors. There are 140 runs in all, and El Tarter has a snow park. If you stayed in one sector but skied in another, book the pick-up at your accommodation address: that is where the driver will come.
The World Cup in Soldeu on 6-7 March 2027. On those days Soldeu hosts a round of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup, the seventh time Andorra has staged the World Cup. Soldeu and El Tarter already hosted the World Cup finals in March 2019. If you are going to the races and flying home straight afterwards, book your transfer early, as soon as you have your plane tickets.
Funicamp takes you up from Encamp. The resort calls Encamp the first gateway to Grandvalira from the Spanish side. From here skiers ride up the mountain in a Funicamp cabin, one of the longest funitel lifts in Europe: the line is more than 6 km long, the ride takes 20-25 minutes, and the top station, Solanelles, stands at 2502 m.
In the red snow phase, the limit is 30 km/h. Andorra's winter road service announces snow phases. In the yellow phase you may drive at up to 60 km/h, in orange up to 50 and in red up to 30, and you should put off any trip that is not essential. In the black phase the roads are closed to traffic. The service posts the current phase on mobilitat.ad and in the Mobilitat Andorra app, so check it the evening before an early flight.
Ryanair, easyJet and Jet2 fly from T2. Terminal T2 is used by Ryanair, easyJet, Jet2, Wizz Air, Aer Lingus, Norwegian, Transavia and Volotea. If you mix up the terminals, a free shuttle runs between T1 and T2 around the clock: it leaves every 5-10 minutes, and the ride from T2 to T1 takes 14 minutes. Aena's list of airlines by terminal can change, so check your flight's terminal on your ticket.
