Barcelona airport is 101 km from PortAventura. This is El Prat, with two terminals linked by a free Aena bus that runs around the clock. The drive takes about 1 hour 18 minutes, and the price, from €137, is shown before you book.

Took a long-distance transfer from Barcelona to Valencia with my family. Three people, lots of luggage, and a fixed price that was actually cheaper than the train tickets for all of us. Your last day at PortAventura
In winter PortAventura Park opens at 10:30. In November the park is open every day, until 18:00 on weekdays and until 23:00 on Saturday 7 and Saturday 14 November. On Sunday 1 and Sunday 8 November it closes at 20:00, and on 15 November at 19:00. Halloween for Everyone runs in the park until 15 November. In December the gates are also open daily, including 24, 25 and 31 December. If your flight is in the evening, you will have time for a few hours in the park, so book the driver for when you are back at the hotel for your bags.
In January PortAventura Park is open until the 6th. From 1 to 4 January it is open until 19:00, on 5 and 6 January until 18:00, and from 7 January it is closed for the rest of the month. Ferrari Land opens only at weekends in November, and every day from 18 December to 6 January. Caribe Aquatic Park is closed until 21 May 2027. If you want one last go on the rides, check your departure date against the park calendar.
Direct R17 trains to Sants at 11:11 and 13:11. The entrance to Salou-PortAventura station from Avinguda Joan Fuster faces the park. During the day two direct trains leave from here for Sants station, and you will be in Barcelona in 1 h 26 min. From there you need the R2 Nord to get to the airport. An R17 ticket costs €9.35, and the train from Sants to the airport needs a separate ticket, for €5.50. If you choose Aeroport as your destination in the Rodalies journey planner, these trains will not appear in the list, so search for a train to Sants.
Plana takes one suitcase up to 30 kg per ticket. The operator will carry a second suitcase up to 50 kg for the price of another ticket, and only if there is room in the luggage hold. Plana itself warns that arrival times are approximate and that delays are especially likely on Sunday and public holiday afternoons. That is why the operator advises arriving at the airport 2 hours before departure. A Plana ticket can be cancelled free of charge if the trip is 10 or more days away.
The last weekday bus from Hotel PortAventura leaves at 16:05. The first weekday bus leaves at 06:00 and reaches T1 at 08:05. On Saturdays the last bus leaves at 17:10, and on Sundays at 16:50. If your flight is at night, taking the last bus means several hours at the airport. With a transfer, you choose the time that suits you, and the driver will be there for it.
Vueling and Lufthansa take bags at Self Bag Drop desks. The T1 check-in floor has self-service check-in machines, and Vueling, Lufthansa, Swiss and Austrian have desks where passengers drop off their own bags. If you have checked in online, these desks will save you time.

Aena advises being at Barcelona airport 2 hours before a flight to a Schengen country and 3 hours before any other flight. Add the drive from PortAventura to that, and we recommend leaving extra time for the unexpected.
Is there a bus from the PortAventura hotels to Barcelona airport?
Yes, the Plana bus leaves from the Hotel PortAventura stop; a single ticket costs €18.60 and a return €33.90. The bus will stop at the Caribe and Gold River hotels if you ask for it in the booking comments, and for guests at Hotel El Paso the nearest stop is at Caribe.
Can I get from PortAventura to Barcelona airport by train?
Yes, you can, but you will need to change trains: at Tarragona and at Sants station, or only at Sants on the daytime R17. A train ticket with two changes costs €8.25. If you have a lot of suitcases, a transfer is easier: the driver will help with your luggage and take you straight to your flight's terminal.
Will the driver pick me up from the Caribe, Gold River or El Paso hotel at PortAventura?
Yes, the driver will come to any hotel at the resort: give its name and address when you book. If you are staying in Salou or La Pineda, the driver will pick you up at your address there too. Before setting off, the driver will tell you in the app chat exactly where he is waiting at the hotel.
How long does the driver wait for free at a PortAventura hotel?
At a PortAventura hotel the driver waits 15 minutes free of charge after the booked time. If you are running late, message the driver in the app chat.
Will the transfer from PortAventura take me to terminal T2 at Barcelona airport?
Yes, the driver will take you to T2 or T1, whichever terminal your airline uses. Put your flight number in the booking.
Are toll roads included in the price of the transfer from PortAventura to Barcelona airport?
No, toll roads are not included in the route price: you pay the driver back on the spot, against the receipt.
