What awaits you in Grandvalira
The largest ski area in the Pyrenees. Six sectors linked by lifts, and two hundred kilometres of pistes. The sectors are Soldeu, El Tarter, Canillo, Encamp, Grau Roig and Pas de la Casa.
Each sector has its own character. Soldeu suits families and beginners, and has the biggest ski school. Pas de la Casa is the highest, right on the French border, and the snow lasts longer there. Encamp lies in the valley, but the Funicamp takes you up from it - the longest cable car in Europe: six kilometres in twenty minutes.
Season from December to April. On the upper slopes the snow lasts longer, but the resort announces exact opening and closing dates at the start of winter.
Duty-free shops on the way. Andorra has low taxes, so in Pas de la Casa and Andorra la Vella people buy electronics, perfume and gear. Export limits apply at the border.
