Transfer from Barcelona Airport to Fira Gran Via

To Fira Gran Via and the pavilions of the exhibition centre

It is 8 km from the airport terminals to Fira Barcelona Gran Via, and the drive takes ~11 min along the C-31 motorway. The driver follows your flight number and brings the car round for the actual landing time. The entrances to the complex are a long way apart, so pick the one you need when you book - South, North or East. The driver will take you straight to it.

01. The driver waits, even if your flight is late

We track your flight ourselves and wait 60 minutes free of charge after the plane actually lands. That covers passport control and baggage reclaim.

02. The price you see is the final one

The amount is fixed when you book and is only charged after the ride. Night-time hours, traffic and luggage make no difference to it.

03. Your exhibition kit fits in the car

A Van takes up to seven pieces of luggage: sample cases, a rolled-up stand, promotional material. There is no surcharge for oversized items.

Prices by class

The price is for the whole car, not per person. It is fixed when you book and does not change because of traffic, a night-time pickup or a delayed flight.

Travel already gives you enough things to think about. The car picking you up shouldn’t be one of them. I’ve used Let’s GO many times, and they are consistently calm, precise and wonderfully human. No unnecessary drama, no guessing, no chasing anyone just the quiet feeling that everything is under control. Behind that simplicity is clearly a team that takes its work personally. Exactly the kind of service you remember when planning your next journey.

Fira Gran Via: how Barcelona's main exhibition venue works

The scale. Fira de Barcelona has two exhibition venues, and Gran Via is the larger one. Eight pavilions, 240,000 square metres: roughly thirty-three football pitches. The complex was designed by the Japanese architect Toyo Ito, and you can pick out its wavy facade from the motorway.

The entrances. There are three: South, North and East. During major events they operate differently. Arrive at the wrong one and you face a long walk to your pavilion, so check the event website before you set off to see which entrance is closest to it.

March means MWC. MWC27 runs here from 1 to 4 March 2027. In 2026 the congress drew almost 105,000 people from 207 countries, with 2,900 exhibitors. The contract with Barcelona holds until at least 2030. So if your trip falls in early March, book the hotel and the car well ahead.

ISE: two venues at once. ISE, the trade show for professional audio and video equipment, runs from 2 to 5 February 2027. In 2026 it drew 92,000 visitors. In 2027 the show takes over both venues, Gran Via and Montjuïc, about four kilometres apart. That is not far, but if one meeting is at Gran Via and the next at Montjuïc, the journeys between them will eat into your day. Group your meetings by venue in advance.

Parking. There are 4,580 parking spaces on site. That sounds like plenty, until you remember that MWC brings in more than a hundred thousand people. On big event days the spaces are gone by morning. And if you leave Fira by taxi, an official surcharge of €3.30 is added to the meter.

The metro. Line L9 Sud runs from the airport to Fira station without a change, and a ticket costs €5.90. If you are travelling without luggage, it is a decent option. But you still have to walk from the station to the pavilion, and thousands of people are heading the same way at opening time. Pushing through that crowd with a suitcase is no fun.

The delegate travel pass. MWC organisers give every attendee a free travel pass: metro, buses and FGC trains in zone 1, including the trip in from the airport. You collect it at the baggage belt in terminals T1 and T2. The pass is only valid on congress days, and it is also the basis for the organisers' advice to use public transport.
