The Spanish Manhattan. Benidorm is the only city in Spain with a real skyscraper skyline: towers fifty storeys high stand right above the sea. Below are two huge beaches, Levante and Poniente, divided by the old town on the headland.
The city that never sleeps. Levante is bars, shows and a promenade until morning; Poniente is calmer and more family-friendly. Between them is the "Balcony of the Mediterranean" viewpoint on the rock, a blue balustrade above the water, the most photographed spot in town.
Parks on the outskirts. Terra Mítica, Aqualandia and Mundomar are ten to fifteen minutes from the centre; in high season the driver will suggest how to get around the traffic by the parks. Give the hotel and district when you book: the city stretches almost six kilometres along the sea.
