Private transfer from Valencia Airport to Dénia
Transfer to your hotel or the ferry. No changes, fixed price.

To Dénia - the castle and the ferry to the Balearics
Dénia is 113 km from Valencia airport, and the drive takes ~1 hr 16 min on the AP-7.
There is no railway to Dénia: only the Alsa bus with a change, about three hours. Dénia is the ferry gateway to the Balearics: catamarans leave from here for Ibiza, Formentera and Mallorca, and a castle stands among the palms above the town. If you are heading for the ferry, give the departure time; the driver will plan the pick-up with a margin and drop you at the ferry terminal.
Econom - the most affordable: a Toyota, Hyundai or similar, up to three people with standard luggage. Eco - an electric or hybrid business-class car, a Tesla or Lexus, up to three people with standard luggage. Business - a business-class saloon (Mercedes E-Class, BMW 5 Series, Audi A6), up to three people with standard luggage. Van - the choice for families and groups: seven seats, and the boot takes a pushchair, skis or a snowboard alongside the suitcases. Premium - meeting guests and special occasions: a car a class above Business, up to three passengers. Bus - a minibus for groups: up to sixteen passengers with their luggage.

Where you'll arrive

What awaits you in Dénia
The mainland doorstep of the Balearics. The Balearic ferries leave from Dénia: the ferry terminal and Baleària's head office are here, with fast sailings to Ibiza, Formentera and on to Palma. That makes the port a working one, not decorative. Above it on the cliff stands the castle, Moorish in origin, with its oldest parts from the eleventh and twelfth centuries, and inside the walls the governor's palace and the archaeological museum.
Two completely different shores meet at the town. North of the harbour, Les Marines is flat, sandy and shallow for kilometres, which is why families book that side. To the south, Les Rotes turns rocky: low cliffs, clear water over flat slabs, better for a mask than for sandcastles. Behind both rises Montgó, the blunt massif that shapes Dénia's skyline, a natural park with marked trails to the ridge.
Food is taken seriously here, and there is paperwork to prove it. In 2015 UNESCO named Dénia a Creative City of Gastronomy - largely because of the local red prawn and the kitchens built around it, including Quique Dacosta's three-star restaurant on the Les Marines strip. The D*na food festival takes over the Marineta Cassiana seafront on the last weekend of September, and the old fishermen's quarter of Baix la Mar serves the same thing on an ordinary day.
From Valencia airport it is 113 km, ~1 hr 16 min on the AP-7. Dénia lies roughly halfway to Alicante, so it is worth checking in advance which airport your flight actually lands at.
