The fortress of Monterreal on the headland. The walls ring the whole peninsula for three kilometres, with a walking path along the top and views of the ocean and the Cíes Islands. Inside is a parador within the sixteenth-century walls, but the walls themselves are open to everyone.

Beaches and the Virxe da Rocha. Ribeira and Barbeira are in the town itself, Ladeira is a long sandy beach at the mouth of the Miñor, and América is across the bridge, already in Nigrán. On the rock to the south stands the fifteen-metre statue of the Virgin with a boat in her hand; a staircase inside leads up to the viewing platform.
